On 20th October 2004 at the Swansea Grand Theatre, we were very pleased to launch the new name for Arts Disability Wales - Disability Arts Cymru.
Disability Arts Cymru will have the same values, the same commitment to making the arts in Wales accessible for everyone. We will be working extra hard with individuals and organisations in the arts to make sure that it is Disabled and Deaf people who are leading the way.
The evening included performances by master-musician Hassan Erraji and comedian Laurence Clark. A fundraising auction also took place which included some beautiful artworks by artists such as Kyffin Williams and Beverley Bell-Hughes.
The tickets for the evening were sold out, and many of our members and their friends and family came along to celebrate.
A launch event also took place at Llandudno's North Wales Conference Centre on 10th May 2005, which also celebrated the launch of our exciting new website. It was a fabulous evening, with music from singer-songwriter Susan Hedges, and comedy from The Nasty Girls. A great chance for disabled people in north Wales to get together and network.

It was a busy night at Swansea's Grand Theatre.

Hassan Erraji's performance got everyone stomping their feet!

Laurence Clark's show was both hard-hitting and hilarious.

The audience definitely had a good time!

We were pleased to see so many new friends at the north Wales launch.

Susan Hedges performed a selection of her own songs in Llandudno.

The Nasty Girls were ever so cheeky!
